Rokid RV101 Prescription Inserts: A Checklist for Your Optician
Relia GroupShare
If you normally wear prescription glasses, plan the lens work before ordering a pair of Rokid RV101 display glasses. There are separate decisions to make: which glasses you want, which insert fits them, and whether an optical professional can supply a suitable lens and fitting solution for you.
Relia’s RV101 prescription insert is a frame only. Prescription lenses, lens fitting and the glasses are not included. Use the checklist below to prepare a conversation with your optician before you buy.
Start with the exact model
Save the glasses and insert product pages so you can show both at your appointment. The RV101 insert listed by Relia is for the display model; it is not designed for RV203 Non-Display Style glasses. Rokid’s official lens FAQ describes different fitting methods for its display Glasses and AI Glasses Style. A general promise of “Rokid-compatible lenses” is therefore not enough to identify the right item.
If you are still choosing between the glasses, begin with our RV101 and RV203 comparison. Once you have chosen the model, keep that model name on your lens-service enquiry and any quotation.
Separate four parts of the purchase
- The glasses: the RV101 hardware you intend to use.
- The insert frame: the model-specific frame that holds an appropriate lens solution.
- The prescription lenses: custom lens work quoted and supplied by the optical provider.
- The fitting: the provider’s assessment, measurements and fitting arrangements.
Ask for a quotation that makes those parts clear. For example, if you already own RV101 and are now considering an insert, confirm whether the optical quotation includes the frame or expects you to supply it. That simple question can prevent ordering the same component twice or discovering that a quoted price covers lenses only.
Bring the information your optician needs
Rokid’s lens FAQ asks for a current eyeglass prescription and the required pupillary-distance information. It also says a contact-lens prescription is not interchangeable with an eyeglass prescription. Ask your optical provider which documents and measurements they require for this particular fitting; let them assess whether the proposed solution is appropriate.
Do not select a lens specification from an online range chart alone. A product description cannot assess your individual prescription or how the finished assembly will fit. Relia can identify the listed hardware; the optical professional should handle the prescription and lens assessment.
Five questions to take to the appointment
- Can you assess and fit lenses for this exact RV101 insert, and do you need to inspect the physical frame first?
- Which current prescription information and measurements do you need from me?
- Does your quotation include the insert, lenses and fitting, or should I source any part separately?
- Who checks the completed fit, and how are any adjustments or follow-up questions handled?
- What delivery estimate and service terms apply to the custom lens work?
Keep the answers together with your model information. If the provider cannot confirm a suitable route, resolve that question before ordering custom lenses or assuming that another Rokid accessory will work.
Know who handles each part
Rokid’s global lens-service FAQ describes independent optical-partner fulfillment and separate service policies. Confirm the arrangements with the provider you actually choose. A global partner page does not establish that the same service, delivery terms or coverage is available through Relia in Canada.
For a hardware question, send Relia the model and product link through our contact page. Give prescription information directly to the optical professional who needs it for your fitting. For related cases, cables and lens accessories, our Rokid accessory guide provides the wider compatibility overview.
The useful outcome is a clear buying sequence: identify the model, have the lens and fitting requirements assessed, confirm what each supplier provides, then order the appropriate parts.
