DJI ROMO Water Tank Version: A Practical Care Routine
Relia GroupShare
A robot vacuum can take over a cleaning task, but choosing one also means planning the few jobs you will still do yourself. With a water-tank station, begin with a practical question: will filling and emptying the tanks fit naturally into your week?
The ROMO S, ROMO A and ROMO P currently listed by Relia are Water Tank Versions. Their clean-water and wastewater tanks remain part of regular care. Automatic water-supply and drainage hardware is not included. Our S, A and P comparison covers model differences; this guide helps you plan the routine around the station.
Plan the route to the sink before the first clean
Picture carrying a tank from the proposed station position to the place where you will refill or empty it. Consider doors, furniture and the space needed to lift the tank out. A spot that looks tidy in a photograph may be awkward for that everyday trip.
Make a simple sketch before ordering: mark the proposed station, nearby power and your route to the sink. Then check the exact installation clearances and electrical guidance in the current manual for your model. Keep those requirements separate from your own preference for hiding the station in a cabinet. A cabinet is only an option if the manufacturer’s requirements and access needs can be met.
Use a short before-and-after checklist
DJI’s original ROMO beginner guide says to keep the clean-water fill below the maximum mark and securely return the tank. It also directs owners to prepare the cleaning area and use the DJI Home app for setup. Follow the current ROMO guide and its linked manual for the actual steps.
| When | Your quick check |
|---|---|
| Before a planned task | Check tank readiness and the app’s messages. Walk through the intended rooms and prepare the area according to the manual. |
| After the task | Review whether the task completed. Include the tanks in your care routine rather than assuming that a returned robot means every job is finished. |
| When planning upkeep | Check Supply Management in the DJI Home app and follow the guidance for the installed parts. |
Choose a reminder that fits your household. For example, reviewing the app after an evening task may be easier to remember than keeping a separate maintenance spreadsheet. Adjust your habit to actual use rather than inventing a fixed number of days between tank checks.
Read a water warning before restarting
Two similar interruptions can need different responses. DJI says an insufficient-clean-water warning can pause a task when the tank runs out; its guidance is to refill and correctly reinstall that tank before continuing. A full-or-missing-wastewater-tank warning instead concerns the station’s ability to extract water. Follow the matching instructions, rather than repeatedly pressing Start.
Keep these official troubleshooting pages handy: insufficient clean water and wastewater tank full or not installed. If the documented steps do not resolve the warning, use DJI Support. A recurring warning deserves attention before you rely on the next unattended task.
Keep consumables in the plan
DJI directs owners to Supply Management for current recommended maintenance cycles. Use that model-specific guidance when planning parts and care. Do not assume a self-cleaning station removes every tank, brush, filter or consumable task.
When comparing packages, write down what is included and what you might need later. Match a replacement or cleaning product to the exact model and official instructions. If a listing or label is unclear, check before adding it to your shopping list.
Three questions before you choose
- Can I comfortably reach and carry the tanks from the intended station position?
- Does the exact Water Tank Version fit the amount of routine care I want to do?
- Have I checked the current manual, app requirements and included package rather than another ROMO generation?
Once those questions are answered, compare ROMO S, A and P around the features you need. For help identifying Relia’s exact package, email support@reliahome.ca with the model name and your question. Use this checklist alongside the current official instructions for your exact model.
